Jessica Callahan

Hello Wildcats & Families! 

  My name is Jessica Callahan and I teach Pride here at Edgewood Middle School!  I attended the University Without Walls (UWW) at University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Where I pursued a BA in Behavioral Interventions in Special Education. 

  On June 26, 2024. My husband, our 12 year old daughter, our family dog and I, got into our vehicles and  we drove 934 miles to our new home here in Ninety Six, SC. 

  Before we moved here I held various roles and titles within the public school systems. I have worked 1:1 with students who have very low cognitive abilities and high behavioral needs. I have supported Special Needs students who are 18-22 years of age at a local community college where they took college courses and I would differentiate their college assignments on campus. I worked at a Regional School District at a combined Middle/High School and my role was to provide supervision and behavioral support/Interventions in conjunction with Administration and the School Resource Officer to the entire student body grades 7-12. I also have worked various intensive positions with students of differing academic, social-emotional & mental health needs and struggles.  

  Besides my husband and daughter Nora who are both here in SC with me. I also have a 20 year old daughter Elly, who is currently living and working in Western PA.

  We have a family dog, he is the sweetest Boston Terrier you have ever met and his name is Jaxx.
