Stephanie Corley
Welcome to middle school! My name is Stephanie Corley and I am the seventh grade ELA teacher here at EMS. I have been teaching for eighteen years, all of which have been in middle school! I graduated from Lander University with a BS Degree in Elementary Education and later received my Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in Classroom Leadership from Southern Wesleyan University. I started my teaching career in the eighth grade at Southside Middle School and later moved to Westview Middle School in Greenwood District 50. After five years of teaching, I took six years off to raise my sweet babies. During that little hiatus, I was an adjunct instructor in the education department at Piedmont Technical College. I returned to the classroom at Northside Middle School when my then youngest child started kindergarten and then moved to EMS in 2013. I enjoy every minute here in Ninety Six and feel blessed to be here!!! THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN BEING A WILDCAT!!!!!!
Together, my husband, Chad, and I have four children: Hannah Grace, Trey, Sophie, and Tripp. Needless to say, we are a busy family!
I look forward to meeting and getting to know all of you this year! Although I enjoy all children, I particularly enjoy teaching middle school because I myself, loved middle school when I was younger. I think perhaps I never really grew up, so I love the energy, humor, general wackiness, and intelligence of middle school students. I love what I do and I can't wait for us to begin our journey together!
