Melody Owings

My name is Melody Owings. I graduated from Lander University in 2020 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. This is my third year teaching in Ninety-Six, and my fifth year as an educator. I taught my first two years at Ware Shoals Middle School, where I taught 6th grade Science and 8th grade Science. While teaching in Ware Shoals, I was the Robotics Coach, and also received the Golden Apple Award on WYFF-4 of December 2021. 

 

I am originally from Chesterfield, South Carolina, and graduated high school from there in 2016. I am a mother to a sweet baby boy named Hank Owings. Being a mother takes up most of my free time outside of school, but I would not have it any other way. I enjoy reading and spending time with my little family during my free time.
